Dataset description

The data set contains figures on pension benefits from the monitoring report on the social situation in Düsseldorf from 2014 to 2019. The focus of the monitoring report is on the presentation of actual states and the temporal development of selected indicators from the topics of population and household structure, labour market, income and pensions, social minimum protection in SGB II and SGB XII as well as debt. The “Rentner_innen” file contains the following column information: Year: Number of years Total: Total number of pensioners Female: Percentage of female pensioners in the respective year Male: Percentage of pensioners in each year under 65: Percentage of pensioners under the age of 65 in the respective year 65 years and older: Percentage of pensioners aged 65 and older in the respective year Single and multiple pensioners, without pure orphan pensioners, shortage compensation benefits, pure child-raising benefits and zero pensions. Pensions as of 1 July of the respective year. Comprehensive information on the income situation of the older population at the federal level is provided in the Pension Insurance Report 2016 of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The pension amount file contains the following column information: Year: Number of years Total: Average pension amount in euro Women: Average pension amount of women in euro Men: Average amount of men’s pensions in euro The file “Rent Number Amount Classes” contains the following column information: Year: Number of years under 500: Number of pensioners with a pension amount less than EUR 500 500-1,000: Number of pensioners with a pension amount between EUR 500 — EUR 1.000 1,000-1,500: Number of pensioners with a pension amount between EUR 1,000 — EUR 1,500 1,500-2,000: Number of pensioners with a pension amount between 1,500 and EUR 2,000 2,000 and more: Number of pensioners with a pension amount of EUR 2,000 or more The file “Rent Number Amount Classes_Percent” contains the following column information: Year: Number of years under 500: Share of pensioners with a pension amount below EUR 500 in percent 500-1,000: Share of pensioners with a pension amount between EUR 500 — EUR 1.000 in percent 1,000-1,500: Share of pensioners with a pension amount between EUR 1,000 — EUR 1,500 in percent 1,500-2,000: Share of pensioners with a pension amount between 1,500 — EUR 2,000 in percent 2,000 and more: Share of pensioners with a pension amount of EUR 2,000 or more in percent
