Percentage of breastfeeding reserve by sex and age group

Definition: There is no uniform definition of breastfeeding reserve for taking up employment. The silence reserve is defined in this respect in relation to the labour force according to the ILO concept (see indicator 11.1). The breastfeeding reserve includes inactive persons aged 15 to under 65; — who do not seek work because of their poor labour market opportunities, or — who are not actively looking for a job but want to take up a job or who are actively looking for a job but are not available for the labour market within the next 2 weeks. According to the definition used here, whether the corresponding inactive person registered as unemployed with the Federal Employment Agency is irrelevant for the allocation to the breastfeeding reserve. Note on the revision of the results for 2011 and 2012: The extrapolation framework for the microcensus has been changed: Until the 2010 survey year, the extrapolation is based on the updated results of the 1987 census, from 2011 onwards on the updated results of the 2011 census.
