Dataset description

The data set contains a list of the development of the total population in Düsseldorf since 1703. The figures for 1703 to 1812 are taken from the publication of Dr. Otto von Mülmann — “Statistik des Reg.-Bezirk Düsseldorf”, Iserlohn 1864. From 1873 to 1938, the average population figures of the update (1914-1918 without those confiscated for military service), from 1940 to 1945 were the average numbers of the population supplied with food cards.
