Dataset description

This metadata set describes “designated areas” as the area type of the object type “farming area, protected area, regulated area” of the INSPIRE Annex III “Managing areas, protected areas, regulated areas and reporting units”. On behalf of the water management administrations in Germany, the Federal Institute for Water Studies (BfG) manages the data of reporting on various water-related EC environmental guidelines in the national reporting portal WasserBLIcK. On the basis of this data basis, the BfG provides selected map and data services in coordination with the Länder Working Group Water (LAWA). The services provided here are based on nationally homogenised datasets. Other administrative levels in Germany (country, district, district, municipality) may provide services in a higher spatial and temporal dissolution on this subject.
