Radhauptnetz in Düsseldorf

The data set contains geoinformation on the Radhauptnetz in Düsseldorf. To promote cycling, the state capital Düsseldorf has developed a city-wide cycling capital network. So far, the basis of cycling planning has been the already successfully implemented district networks, which have created a quickly usable network for the short distances. The task of a higher-level network is carried out by the main wheel network. In September 2014, the main cycling network and the building blocks for its implementation were presented in the Administrative and Transport Committee of the state capital and tasked the administration with the implementation of all necessary measures. The main cycling network with a length of more than 300 kilometres, consisting of around 700 individual measures, has been implemented successively since 2015. Since the network is not static, but is evolving continuously, the state of play as open data (12/2020) may deviate from the actual state of play.
