The survey covers all persons in need of care who received care benefits at the end of the year (31.12.). The purpose of the survey is to provide comprehensive and reliable statistical data on home care. Since the vast majority of the care needs take care benefits, this survey is carried out as a supplement to the survey of outpatient and inpatient care facilities. Thus, a statistical overall picture of the area of care can be ensured. In order to be able to identify developments in nursing care and in the demand for nursing supplies in a timely manner and to be able to react appropriately, a meaningful database is essential.
