Dataset description

Results of sub-steps in the designation of eutrophicated areas (status: 05/2022) of the State of NRW pursuant to § 13a Fertiliser Ordinance (DüV 2020). The table contains the results of the partial evaluations for phosphate evaluation, biology assessment and the significant nutrient inputs according to AVV GEA. Included are those OFWKs that meet all the criteria for designation as an eutrophicated area (for information on the procedure see document “Explanatory Notes eutrophicated Areas NRW (12_2022)”). For the phosphate and biology evaluation, the WFD measurement point used is indicated, the results of which were decisive for the identification. The measuring points are also included in the spatial data set “GLDE-Evaluation Measuring Network Eutrophied Areas-NRW_ETRS25832_Shape.zip”. In some cases, different measuring points were used for the phosphate and biology evaluation if this was necessary and useful from a technical point of view. For phosphate it is indicated whether the results for orthophosphate phosphorus or for the replacement parameter total phosphate phosphorus were used. The biology assessment indicates the assessments for all biological quality components to be studied. At least one is rated as “moderate” or worse. The last columns of the table show the significant nutrient input results from the MEPhos modelling (https://www.flussgebiete.nrw. de/Growa-nrw-2021-4994). This concerns both the share of agricultural P entries in the total entry, which is at least 20 % here, as well as the level of agricultural P entries, which, if the ecological region comparison value (see last column) is also a criterion for the designation of an OFWK catchment area as eutrophicated area. For phosphate and biology, the results of the lower dam were used for phosphate and biology (see step 6 in “Explanatory notes eutrophicated areas NRW (12_2022)”
