Dataset description

The retention register provides an overview of potentially usable retention areas at selected Lower Saxony waters. The project is supported by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. It supports the catchment area-related concepts and is part of the nationwide flood prevention (area preparedness).The data contain the observation limits of search rooms and search spaces with land use analysis for potentially activated retention areas. The viewing limits were set manually and according to technical criteria, for example on unrealistic large areas or downhill terrain.
