Dataset description

This data set contains the individual sightings in the German offshore areas for the bird species: {Artname} {(Artname wiss.)}. The data are based on seabird recordings carried out as part of the BfN monitoring programme. The surveys are carried out by the umbrella association of German Avifaunists (DDA). A more nutritious description of the methodology can be found in the monitoring report of the BfN (https://www.bfn.de/wirbeltiere). The observation data is presented in the form of products, with the point size of the number of individuals observed.
