Siren sites

Sirens are installations in Bonn that serve to alert the civilian population in case of emergency or disaster by means of certain acoustic signals (up and decongesting heulton). They are intended to alert the population to a threat of danger and to encourage the following behaviours: — Turn on the radio and watch for announcements: Radio Bonn/Rhein-Sieg (depending on the place of reception: 91,2; 94,2; 97,8; 99.9; 104,2; 107.9 Mhz), WDR 2 (100.4 MHz). — Visit closed rooms — Close windows and doors! — Shut down air conditioners! — Teach neighbors! — Pay attention to possible loudspeaker announcements by fire brigade or police If possible, do not make phone calls! — Call the emergency numbers 110 and 112 only in case of real emergencies In addition to the geographical location, the address, the tactical name of the siren, the type of construction and the year of construction of the siren. In rural areas and in Bonn as a relapse level, they also serve to alert the volunteer fire brigade (signal: one minute, constant heulton with two interruptions).
