Social Atlas

The following data is provided in the Social Atlas: Total persons receiving existential benefits as well as by gender and selected age groups Recipients of basic benefits for jobseekers (according to the Social Code II) in total and by type of benefit Total unemployed as well as by gender, selected age groups and legal circles It shows the structure of these recipient circles as well as the density values, i.e. the extent of the affected population in the respective or similar population. Accordingly, the respective population numbers are also reported. On the basis of tables, graphics and thematic maps, the structures of these groups in the city of Essen can be analysed and compared with the population structures. The preparation of the data from 2007 onwards enables time comparisons, also on the spatial levels of the urban districts and districts.
