Soil types of the upper floors of Germany 1:1,000,000 (WMS)

Web Map Service (WMS) to the map of the soil types of the upper floors of Germany. The map gives a visual impression of the spread of typical, i.e. area-dominant (usually of the most common) soil species in upper soils of Germany. The map visualises the results of investigations carried out in the BGR report on soil types of the soils of Germany; BGR Archive, No. 0127305, are documented. The soil type was derived from the analysis data on grain fractions of the fine soils for 16,132 sites in Germany and an allocation of the dominant board species group to the legend units of the utilisation-differentiated soil overview map 1:1,000,000 (BÜK1000N V2.3). For reasons of clarity adapted to the scale (1:1,000,000), the representation is limited to the level of the soil species group in accordance with the soil articulation guide (KA5).
