Dataset description

The map of species and biotope protection (Aubs) with its accompanying explanatory report is an essential and binding part of the landscape programme. It describes comprehensive development goals for all areas of the city and sets out measures to protect, maintain and develop the habitats of native plant and animal species. The Map of Species and Biotope Protection was originally adopted by the Citizenship as a separate part of the landscape programme on 12 June 1997 as a species and biotope conservation programme (APRO). The basis for the development of the programme was the species and biotope mappings collected for the entire urban area. Fifteen different categories with a total of 39 different biotope development spaces were summarised on this basis and objectives and measures were formulated for this purpose. Today, it is integrated into the landscape program as a map of species and biotope protection (Aubs). In the future, the Hamburg Law on the Implementation of the Federal Nature Conservation Act (HmbBNatSchAG § 13) provides that Apro’s statements together with other relevant nature conservation content are presented in a technical concept of species and biotope protection (Fabio).
