Stock of motor vehicles and their trailers according to selected characteristics (Bundesländer and vehicle categories), quarterly (FZ 27)

The inventory shows all vehicles and trailers stored in the Central Vehicle Register (ZFZR) of the Federal Motor Transport Authority, which are registered in Germany at the specified reporting date. In FZ 27, contrary to the other products relating to the vehicle stock, not only the stock at the beginning of a year (January 1st) is considered, but also the stock at the beginning of a quarter (1.4, 1.7., 1.10.). This statistics primarily serves to describe the stock structures and their changes within a year. Among other things, the characteristics of vehicle classes, federal states, fuel types, emission groups, holder groups and vehicle age are evaluated. From 1.7.2021, additional evaluations will be reported on the alternative types of electric (BEV), fuel cell (hydrogen), plug-in hybrid, gas (liquid and natural gas) and hydrogen. For passenger cars, among other things, the characteristics of segments, brands, model series (Top 10) and federal states as well as registration districts are evaluated here. For the first time, FZ 27 was released for the car stock as of 01.07.2018.
