Dataset description

The dataset contains the average traffic count data of the last 5 years from Düsseldorf as of 2019. The broad-based censuses provide important insights for the optimisation of any infrastructure (roads, bridges, tunnels). By comparing traffic loads with existing capacities, bottlenecks can be identified. They form the basis for the dimensioning of transport facilities, for traffic model calculation and for calculation methods for determining traffic-related emissions and immissions. In order to obtain a reliable average value for the volume of traffic, 16 hours are counted in the time of 6-22 o'clock working days. The count values are no older than 5 years. Further information can be found on the relevant pages of the Office of Traffic Management. The files contain the following column information: STR_NAME: Street name (If a street name occurs more often, there were several counts on this street) STR_NR: Line number KNO_VON: from node number KNO_NACH: by node number Car_5J_MITTL_BEL: Total transport vehicle (averaged load from the count values of the last 5 years) SV_5J_MITTL_BEL: Heavy goods transport (from 3.5 tonnes permissible total weight, trucks without trailers, trucks with trailers and buses) (average load from the count values of the last 5 years) DTV_5J_MITTL_BEL: Average daily traffic (average burden from the counts of the last 5 years) DTV for individual categories such as bus, motorcycles, vans, trucks without trailers, trucks with trailer, passenger cars DTV_Bus_5J_MITTL_BEL: Buses (average traffic from the counts of the last 5 years) DTV_Kräder_5J_MITTL_BEL: Motorcycles (average traffic from the count values of the last 5 years) DTV_Lfw_5J_MITTL_BEL: Vans (average traffic from the counts of the last 5 years) DTV_truck_mA_5J_MITTL_BEL: Trucks with trailers (average traffic from the counts of the last 5 years) DTV_truck_oA_5J_MITTL_BEL: Trucks without trailers (average traffic from the counts of the last 5 years) DTV_PKW_Kombi_5J_MITTL_BEL: Passenger car combi (average traffic from the counts of the last 5 years) PV_5J_MITTL_BEL: (Road) passenger transport = car + motorcycles + bus (average traffic from the counts of the last 5 years) GV_5J_MITTL_BEL: (Road)freight transport = Lfw + trucks without trailer + trucks with trailer (average traffic from the counts of the last 5 years)
