*Short description The statistics on migrations provide information on the spatial mobility of the population or the extensions of the territorial units according to the demographic characteristics of gender, age, nationality and marital status, as well as the area of origin and destination. The migration statistics are based on registrations and deregistrations, which are registered by the reporting authorities in the event of a change of residence due to the statutory provisions on the reporting obligation. The survey unit is the case of migration, i.e. every move over the municipal border. Therefore, a migration case in the above sense means any reference or abandonment of a single apartment or main dwelling or the change in the housing status (conversion of a secondary dwelling to a main dwelling or vice versa). Thus, the migration statistics record the arrivals and departures of German and non-German persons, including the registration and deregistration of protection seekers. The removals within the municipalities (local relocations) are not taken into account. The results will be made available up to the municipality level. The quality report provides information on methods and definitions as well as the quality of the results of a statistics.
