Vegetation-scientific permanent area monitoring

The monitoring of permanent vegetation areas “DF” is the appropriate tool to obtain reliable statements about changes in habitats with their flora and vegetation. In 2006, two were from the Nds. Waddenmeer Foundation successfully completed funded projects that form the basis for future targeted vegetation-sensitive permanent area monitoring. The first of these projects, which deals with the permanent areas on the East Frisian Islands, was edited by Dr. Jörg Petersen — nature-consult. The second project covers the coastal suburbs and was completed in addition to the 1st subproject by Sabine Arens. One focus of these two projects was to secure and make use of the knowledge about existing DFs distributed and sometimes difficult to access across different institutions and people.
