Dataset description

The data set contains traffic volumes on main roads (HVS) and federal motorways (BAB). Traffic volume map 2019: For 2019, traffic volumes are reported as the average daily traffic strength (DTV, Monday to Sunday). In addition, the attributes indicate the percentage of heavy traffic (SV) on average daily traffic on working days (DTVw, Monday to Friday). The data on traffic volumes are derived from the traffic model of the city of Hamburg. Among other things, the transport model is based on traffic censuses carried out by 2019. The traffic strengths (car) held in the traffic model as DTVw were converted to the DTV using flat-rate factors, then compared manually and smoothed if necessary. On the other hand, the data on heavy traffic contained in the transport model as an SV share of the DTVw were not converted to the DTV, but were transferred to the DTV without adaptation. For traffic forecasts, the figures in the traffic volume map are not suitable. Processing status 2019: 22.11.2022 Traffic volume map 2014: For the years 2013 and 2014, the average daily traffic volume is indicated on working days (DTVw, Monday to Friday). The data on traffic volumes come from traffic censuses carried out on federal highways and main roads until 2014. The counting results were extrapolated to the average working day traffic (DTVw), in 2014. Due to extensive site influences in 2014, the DTVw values of 2013 were used for the Federal Motorways. Within the colored sections of the route, the traffic volume may vary within the specified bandwidth. For traffic forecasts, the figures in the traffic volume map are not suitable. Processing status 2013/2014: 25.08.2016
