Zeb State Classes Hamburg

The data set contains the road condition classes of all Hamburg roads, which have been used and evaluated since 2014 as part of the regular state recording and evaluation (ZEB). The registration of the main roads (HVS) and district roads with urban significance (BSGB) has been carried out every 2 years since 2014. In 2016, all other district roads were initially recorded only once. The length of the evaluation sections is 20 m on HVS and BSGB and 10 m on the other district roads. Gaps in the network occur when a route could not be driven (e.g. due to construction measures). Since the evaluation of the traffic takes a certain time, the results are always published 1-2 years later. During the evaluation, state marks for the substance characteristics cracks and patches are determined from the measured values of flatness detected by a special vehicle and the status values determined by evaluation at screen workstations for the substance characteristics cracks and patches according to a standardised procedure. These grades range from 1 to 5 on the roads, with the following condition classes: — 1.0 to 1.49 -> Base value after manufacture, — 1.5 to 3.49 -> no special observation requirement, — 3.5 (warning value) to 4.49 -> need for observation, if necessary, — 4.5 (threshold) to 5.0 -> single check required, action required For the overall consideration of the state, the individual state values are combined into two partial values, the use value and the substance value and one total value: The use value is a user-oriented value and describes the passability (quality of use, flatness) and road safety. The substance value (e.g. cracking) represents the existing quality of the structural substance. The total value is derived from the maximum value of use or substance.
