Dataset description

As places of refuge (or concentration or assembly) are considered open free spaces within the city aimed at the safe expelling of the population, which manifests itself as a first reaction to a seismic event. Places of refuge may also be used as direct accommodation (e.g. tents, caravans or ships), with a stay of hours up to a few days (approximately two), i.e. until the persons affected are returned to their homes or relocated to temporary accommodation (e.g. organised camps with transported housing) and if they meet the required requirements. The places of refuge, as notified to us so far by the Municipalities of the Region of Attica, are listed for all Regional Units in the following files.
