Dataset description

Geo-referenced vector database containing homogeneous groupings of data relating to the various types of land use 1976, scale 1:25,000. In this new version of the 1976 Land Use database, the legends of the various versions present have been homogenised and the database has been reorganised, as far as possible, according to the guidelines of the European project Corine Land Cover (CLC). Problems related to the matching of card attacks, present in about 80 % of cases with up to 100 tablet errors, have also been solved: when the homologous boundaries were moved between them, they were reconstituted, recomposing the polygons broken by the cutting of the tablet. In most cases, where there was no thematic correspondence between the adjacent polygons, the photo areas were consulted and the conflict resolved. The problems related to the georeferencing of the IGM bases, on which the paper was drawn, were then addressed; the IGM tablets have different frameworks: Bessel for the oldest and Hayford for the most recent. The distribution of the two systems is varied within the regional territory, this implies that the original tablets border between the two systems do not “touch” each other, physically missing portions of the map area, sometimes causing deviations of more than 150 meters of land, from the CTR 25,000. Through displacement operations and subsequent adaptation the tablets have been arranged to the best, bringing the maximum deviation, from the regional topographic base, around 30 meters ground. This new edition also includes the 7 new municipalities of Valmarecchia.
