Dataset description

Following the entry into force of the Provincial Urban Planning Plan (P.U.P.), approved by Law No 5 of 27 May 2008, and the application of Article 21 of its implementing rules, in relation to the protection of water resources intended for human consumption, the Water Resources Charter was drawn up. Decision No 2248 of 5 September 2008 approved the Water Resources Charter, which identifies the sources, wells and surface waters used for drinking purposes with any range including the sources of mineral water currently under concession, as well as the sources considered strategic for the specific characteristics of quality, quantity and vulnerability, even if not exploited for human use, which could constitute future reserves. The Water Resources Charter covers the entire Trentino area on a scale of 1:10,000 and identifies the following safeguard areas: absolute protection zones; hydrogeological compliance zones; protection zones.
