Availability of WiFi Areas offered by public bodies in the Municipalities of Emilia-Romagna

Since 2011 the wifi areas offered by public bodies in Emilia-Romagna have been collected annually. They are also available in Excel. The data was collected by looking on the websites for directions on wifi areas in the municipal territory. The search was carried out: in the institutional site of the municipality, looking for “wi-fi in the municipality” on Google, in the sites of the service providers (identified in the first way; in the sites of provincial administrations — cultural sector — libraries as many of the wifi areas affect municipal libraries. If it has a value 0, all other data collected are not present (empty cell). Other public bodies such as schools, healthcare companies and hospitals are not subject to detection. The data is collected by ERVET spa on behalf of the Emilia-Romagna Region — Coordination of the Regional Telematic Plan which is the owner of the data.
