The vegetation layer defines classes of entities of a plant nature grouped according to the following classification: — agro-forestry areas — urban and suburban green (tree-lined streets, monumental trees). The classification criteria adopted depend on the topographical nature of the data and its observability. The territory is identified in the logic of land cover observable regardless of the parameters of use that depend on the degree of anthropogenic intervention in the territory and which mainly concern the thematicisations (land use.) of the geographical data.
