Dataset description

The LIFE AQUOR project (LIFE10/ENV/IT/380), with a work programme carried out from September 2011 to April 2015, has been conceived as a demonstration action to encourage the reversal of the current trend of overexploitation of groundwater resources and to increase the rate of hydrogeological recharge of aquifers, with the aim of rebalancing the groundwater of the Upper Vicentina Plain (Veneto Region) and to ensure its sustainable use by current and future generations. The initiative is based on the active involvement of stakeholders and aims to consolidate a shared commitment to the quantitative protection of one of Europe’s most important underground water assets. Among the monitoring actions of the AQUOR project, a study was carried out in the Province of Vicenza (action D4), aimed at the census and verification of the quality-quantitative status of the springs. The dataset shows the results of the chemical analyses carried out on the samples collected during the sampling campaigns in the period December 2014 February 2015; only those parameters which have shown values above the detection limits shall be indicated. Attributes and their meaning: N: Numerical code of the resurgence; COORD_X: X coordinate in Gauss Boaga Fuso Ovest reference system [m]; COORD_Y: Y coordinate in Gauss Boaga Fuso Ovest reference system [m]; The following fields are defined as follows: COMPOSITE ACRONYM ANALYSED _ CAMPAIGN ID. The compounds analysed are: CL: Chlorides [mg/l]; NO3: Nitrates [mg/l]; SO4: Sulphates [mg/l]; NH4: Ammoniacal nitrogen [mg/l]; EC:Conducibilità [uS/cm]; Hardness: Hardness as concentration of CaCO3 [mg/l]; NO2: Nitrites [ug/l]; pH: pH; RFO: Potential Redox [mV]; CR Tot: Total chromium [ug/l]; C2H2Cl2: 1,1-Dichloroethylene [ug/l]; ECT: Trichloroethylene [ug/l]; ECP: Tetrachloroethylene [ug/l]; HCBD: Hexachlorobutadiene [ug/l]; Somm_Org.: Organochlorinated summation [ug/l]; a1_2 _DCE: 1,2-Dichloroethylene (cis-trans-) [ug/l]; CCl4: Carbon tetrachloride [ug/l]; SB: Antimony [ug/l]; As: Arsenic [ug]; Fe: Iron [ug/l]; HG: Mercury [ug/l]; NI: Nickel [ug/l]; If: Selenium [ug/l]; MN:Manganese [ug/l]; HCO3: Bicarbonates [mg/l]; CA: Calcium [mg/l]; Mg: Magnesium [mg/l]; K: Potassium [mg/l]; Na: Sodium [mg/l]. The campaign codes are: C1: First sampling year carried out on 17 18 December 2014. Reduced set of analysis; C2: Second sampling year carried out on 7 8 January 2015. Extended set of analysis 1; C3: Third sampling campaign carried out on 14 15 January 2015. Reduced set of analysis; C4: Fourth sampling year carried out on 20 21 January 2015. Extended set of analysis 1; C5: Fifth sampling year carried out on 28 29 January 2015. Reduced set of analysis; C6: Sixth sampling year carried out on 4 5 February 2015. Extended set 2 of analysis; C7: Seventh sampling campaign carried out on 11 12 January 2015. Reduced set of analysis; Average: Mean concentration of the compound over the sampling period. In the calculation of the mean, the concentration values below the limit of detection were considered to be 0,5 detection limit.
