Dataset description

The dataset contains data relating to UL present in the Municipality of Milan and the companies to which they belong, regardless of the location of the company. The local unit is the physical place where the undertaking carries out its business, so it can coincide with the undertaking or part of it. (Some examples: Agency, bar, storage, shop, laboratory, warehouse, professional studio, office, clinic, hotel...). ULs in the dataset are classified by Ateco 2007 UL code (2 and 5 digits). For each item in the Ateco classification, the number of enterprises, the number of ULs, the number of employees of enterprises and local units is given. NOTE 1: Data on employees are calculated as work units. In this regard, it is recalled that full-time work units (FWUs) may refer to work carried out in the year by a full-time worker, or to the equivalent amount of work performed by part-time workers or by double-job workers. (E.g. two 50 % part-time workers are 1 work units). The unit of work is therefore not linked to the individual natural person, but refers conventionally to a quantity of standard full-time work defined by national contracts. This explains the presence of values with decimal digits. The path to use to find the original dataset on sisi.comune.milano.it is: **sisi.comune.milano.it — Work and Enterprise — Labour Forces — Companies and Institutions — Statistical Archive Active Enterprises (ASIA)**
