Dataset description

The cycle route of the Sun is a planned cycle path that starts in Cape North and ends in Valletta. It crosses eight nations: Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and Italy.The cyclovia published in this dataset is a part of the Italian section inaugurated in April 2021. The beginning of the cycle route is indicated in via Sabotino in the municipality of Bologna and winds for about 50 km up to the municipality of Mirandola. The Bologna-Osteria Nuova section is a temporary route along low-traffic roads. The final route will pass along the river Rhine, the forested area north of the airport and cross the municipality of Calderara di Reno.
