Dataset description

The natural radioactivity of Umbria was determined through the UMBRIA-RAD project which defined the distribution of natural radionuclides and cosmic radioactivity with complementary investigation methods including rock and soil sampling and aerial overflights, followed by detailed laboratory analyses in order to also determine the effective dose of natural radioactivity. The databases, available in shapefile format, are as follows: * Database of aircraft flybys with in-flight measurements of natural radioactivity * Rock sampling database containing information on lithology and measurements of radioactivity of natural origin of the analysed samples * Soil sampling database containing information on lithology and measurements of radioactivity of natural origin of the samples analysed
