Dataset description

It is a river made by man with the insertion of an artifact (channel) in natural or artificial materials for the purpose of supply, irrigation, drainage, diversion, uncovering of the flow rates of floods, production of hydroelectric power, navigation or other. It normally has an average or weak slope. It is modeled by the orderly aggregation of “watercourse elements” with continuity characteristics, except in cases where the underground path cannot be reconstructed, and towards homogeneous. However, the presence of lugs and secondary branches is not foreseen. The direction of travel of the constituent elements must be consistent with that of the current of the channel itself, which can therefore be determined on the basis of the altitude of the soil. For channels that allow a double direction of scrolling, however, a single direction for the whole channel must be assumed. The routes of the channels must be continuous and organised in such a way as to connect at the points of derivation or delivery in general with a natural hydrographic network or, where appropriate, with the pipelines, acquiring also: “the centreline of invisible channel sections (e.g. manholes)”the connecting sections with natural waterways (virtual half) in relation to derivation or delivery situations
