Digital terrain model — Derivative cards — Slope cards

The maps, made using the digital model of the terrain at 10 meters pitch (derived from the DTM step 2 meters aggregated 2005/2008), show the slope of the ground expressed in degrees or percentage depending on the specialised uses for which each card was made.The map of the slopes in percentage is a map of the standard slopes for extension bands that reproduce the same classes (and the same colors) in use on technical documentation published by the Ministry of Ecological Transition.The gradient charts in degrees have instead been made to meet specific operational needs of offices in the Valle d’Aosta Region. They originate from the same data source but are characterised by different theming modes (different classes and different colors)In particular, the first card is used to determine agricultural land that is characterised by an average gradient of between 35 and 45 degrees to which specific regional rules apply.The two maps of slopes filtered on data over 30 large were instead made to be integrated into the project of the cadastre paths and serve to identify areas at risk avalanche. In particular, the 5-class card re-proposes the theme proposed by Swiss hiking maps, a classification that can now be considered a standard at European level.
