Dataset description

The activity of seismic microzonation is aimed at the geo-referenced representation of the results obtained in the project — seismic verifications of the Argini on the right bank of the river Po in the stretch between Ro (FE) and Boretto (RE)-. The municipalities covered by the study are those classified in zone 3 by the current national seismic classification (OPCM 3974/2003) in the stretch between Boretto (RE) and Ro (FE) (referred to in the Prime Ministerial Decree of 23 May 2007 published in Official Gazette No 178 of 2 August 2007). In detail, these municipalities are: Boretto, Gualtieri and Guastalla in the province of Reggio Emilia (macroarea 1, called GUASTALLA); Carbonara Po, Sermide and Felonica in the province of Mantua (macroarea 2, called SERMIDE); Bondeno in the province of Ferrara (macroarea 3, called BONDENO); Ferrara (macroarea 4, called FERRARA); RO in the province of Ferrara (macroarea 5, called RO). On the basis of the results of the activities previously carried out in the project, which led to the creation of the map of amplification factors, the estimation of liquefaction phenomena where necessary and the stability checks of embankments under static and dynamic conditions, specific maps of seismic microzonation have been drawn up showing the location of the analysis points carried out and their results. As a result, different levels of seismic criticality (negligible T, low B, medium M and A high) were defined along the 107 cross-sections to the embankment; where it could not be defined, the NN code has been entered.
