Earthquake Central Italy — Restoration interventions (RNDT Dataset) — Version 2.0

The road network affected by the earthquake is particularly extensive and damaged in a significant and widespread way. In order to ensure greater efficiency in the restoration of roads, in agreement with the Civil Protection Department, the Acting Subject decided to proceed both in the reconnaissance and in the identification of the interventions and in the development of a “Programme for the restoration of the roads affected by the earthquake”, according to a succession of incremental operational excerpts. In defining the extension of the excerpts, of course, reference was made to the importance of the road network in terms of mobility.The programme, drawn up by the Actuator Subject and approved by the Civil Protection Department in shared with the Regions, assigned a priority level from 1 to 5 for each operation, identifying — in agreement with the territory — interventions with priorities 1 to 3, necessary to restore traffic or safety conditions along the main road network, to be carried out in the first and second excerpts of the programme for a total amount estimated at around EUR 474 million.
