Dataset description

The data shall contain the following information layers: DANGER OF FLOODING. Demarcation of areas affected by flood events for three flood scenarios: frequent (TR 20-50 years), infrequent (TR 100-200 years) and rare (TR up to 500 years). The areas are identified for territorial areas: main hydrographic grid (RP), hill and mountain secondary hydrographic grid (RSCM), lowland secondary hydrographic grid (RSP), coastal lake areas (ACL). RISK POINT ELEMENTS. Representation of the risk class associated with point elements present in areas affected by flood events. The following elements are represented: constrained cultural assets (db SIRBeC — DG Culture, Identity and Autonomie — MIBAC), facilities Annex I to Legislative Decree 59/2005 (PRIM — DG Safety, Civil Protection and Immigration), protected areas for the extraction of water for hydropotable use (PTUA), hospital facilities (DG Health and PRIM), school facilities (PRIM), large dams (DG Environment, Energy and Sustainable Development), purifiers (DG Environment, Energy and Sustainable Development) and incinerators (db SILVIA — DG Environment, Energy and Sustainable Development and other public information sources). Representation of the risk class associated with polygonal elements in areas affected by flood events. The polygonal cover consists of the land use layer (DUSAF) and the rail and road networks (regional graph and DUSAF supplementary layer). The risk is represented with 4 classes: R4 (very high), R3 (high), R2 (medium), R1 (moderate or null). Classes are derived from the comparison between the hazard class and the damage class associated with the exposed element. There are four classes of potential damage: D4 (very high), D3 (high), D2 (medium) and D1 (moderate or null). The inhabitants on display were valued using ISTAT 2011 census data at municipal level (the number of inhabitants was estimated with reference to each residential fabric polygon).
