Dataset description

Rock glaciers are accumulations of angular rock blocks with a shape similar to glaciers, which may contain ice inside them (rock glaciers intact); they are therefore considered an indirect indication of the presence of permafrost.Work carried out within the permanet project — Permafrost longterm monitoring network (P.O. European Territorial Cooperation Transnational Objective 3 2007/2013 Alpine Space). Scopo:Censimento and location of the “rock glacier” on the territory of the Aosta Valley.
