Harp Piemonte — Ecological Network of Mammals on scale 1:10,000

The service illustrates the degree of potential biodiversity of the territory and identifies the main elements of the ecological network, depending on the number of species of mammals that the territory is potentially able to host, on the basis of 23 species considered, selected among the most representative in the Piedmontese territory. Areas with greater or lesser natural value are identified, areas that are not suitable for intrinsic characteristics (soil cover, altitude or slope) and degraded areas due to the presence of intense anthropogenic activities."The methodology for identifying the elements of the ecological network is currently under review and involves the use of more recent databases.
