Dataset description

Lithogic-jacimentological paper, aquater/Region Piemonte, 1988. It is an elaboration (derived from the “Geological Charter of Italy” on a scale of 1:100,000) through a process of merging lithotypes which, although they are geologically different, have similar characteristics in terms of use in the construction and industrial sectors. The information thus obtained has been supplemented with the precise data of the existing mining activities (of the Piedmont Region) and with in-depth bibliography. For the most significant areas, checks were also carried out through direct findings. The cognitive significance of the dataset is important for the deepening of issues related to mining planning.
