The dataset represents the values calculated by GIS modelling of total radiation (annual and monthly) direct (annual), diffuse radiation (annua) and total duration (annua) of solar radiation; Solar radiation is the main source of energy that allows all physical and biological processes on earth. The factors that most influence the amount of energy received from each point of the earth are altitude, orientation (slope and exposure) and shading.
