List of museums in Lazio

In 2012 the Lazio Region participated in the national census of museums of Italy, on the basis of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Istat and participating regions. All data collected are freely available online, upon registration, on the website of the Integrated Information System (http://imuseiitaliani.beniculturali.it/sii) and include information on the number, location and activities of the museums, on how they are organised and how they are managed, on the facilities they have and the services they offer, as well as on the relationship with the public and the surrounding territory. The Lazio Region also has data relating to Lazio, in XML compatible or CSV format, with the further indication of which museums belong to the Regional Museum Organisation (OMR) and which to thematic or territorial museum systems recognised by the regional administration.
