Dataset description

This webservice has been developed as part of the EFRE 2017/2013 project of the European Union with the aim of making public local traffic data available to developers and companies that are active in the mobility sector in South Tyrol and Europe. The Webservice relies on the software solution EFA Journey Planner (https://www.mentz.net/en/verkehrsauskunft/efa-journey-planner/) widespread in Europe in particular in Germany, England and Ireland. The web service has a static XML interface and allows the use of its various functions by websites or other applications. It consists of some types of request, which can be combined with each other: * __StopFinder-Request__: allows simple verification of points * __Trip-Request__: calculate travel information from a point of departure to one of arrival, at a certain time and at a given date * __DM-Request__: create the card with the departure of one or more stops for all the lines that pass through these stops * __StopTimetable-Request__: create a stop time for one or more lines (BETA) * __TTB-Request__: generates the time of a line (BETA) * __ROP-Request__: generate the cropping of the city map with the planned route of a line * __AddInfo-Request__: return the current information * __CoordInfo-Request__: return the coordinates of different objects, such as stops or other important points ALGORITHM: The webservice searches routes and timetables of local public transport in South Tyrol. The search engine offers the possibility to calculate a door-to-door route also taking into account routes on foot (for example, for a change of line or from a stop to a certain address). There are mainly three search algorithms: * quicker connection * with fewer changes * with the slightest walk. There are also several filters to customise the search for routes (e.g. maximum walking time, type of vehicles, etc.)
