Sheet 64 is located in the Sardinian Sea and is located in the south-western part of Sardinia, in the offshore Iglesiente-Sulcis; includes the southern offshoots of the Arburese Plateau and the portion
southern of the Amphitheater of Oristano, while the remaining part is included in the Iglesiente Ripiano and the continental shelf and upper escarpment of the offshore Sulcis.
The platform differs in a more internal portion, between 50 m and i-150 m of depth,
relatively steep, set mainly on the rocky substrate, in an extensive depression, in a large morphological shelf, between –150 m and –170 m depth, and in a sector of external platform, weakly inclined towards NNW, bounded by an eyelash of a predominantly depositional nature.
In the northernmost part of the continental escarpment, up to 26 km wide, the heads of the tributary valleys of the Canyon of Oristano depart, with a straight course to poorly sinuous from the depth of the 310 m, with NS performance.
In the northern sector and in the central sector of the escarpment, bathing machines showed the presence of fluid leakage structures.
There is a critical point related to a pockmark.
The scientific body responsible for the sheet is the CNR-IAMC.
