Dataset description

Feature class MO_PF01G_Pertinenze_Fluviali — information layer of river areas of the Molise Region. Through the application of geomorphological criteria, river areas have been highlighted. These are flood areas that have been generated in more or less recent times by the floods of the major watercourses, which must be safeguarded both because they are subject in part to possible flooding, thus playing a natural rolling role of outflows, and because in some parts of these areas may be localised flooding measures; in addition, they generally play a decisive role in reducing the various hydrogeological risks. The stratum contains, for each range, the data concerning the estimated return time of the floods in years, the classification codes of synthetic and extended river relevance, a summary description of land use and the reference basin.
