The dataset represents a delimitation of the territory, according to Regional Law No 13 of 20 January 1997, where the public services for the collection, supply and distribution of water for civil use are reorganised, as well as the sewerage and purification of waste water, consisting, as a whole, of the integrated water service referred to in Article 4(1)(f) of the Regional Law referred to above. The Piedmont Region, according to Regional Law No 13 of 20 January 1997, defines the optimal territorial areas for the organisation of the integrated water service and regulates the forms and methods of cooperation between local authorities within the meaning of Law No 36 of 5 January 1994 and subsequent amendments and additions.
