Pai Sicilia — Physiographic Unit No. 3 — Capo Scaletta — Capo Schisò (003)

The Physiographic Unit extends from Capo Scaletta in the North to Capo Schisò in the South, has a total length of about 37.119 km and falls along the north-eastern Ionian coast of Sicily, in the province of Messina.The coast, exposed to the dominant winds of Grecale and Scirocco (NE and SE), is characterised by the presence of long pebble beaches interspersed with rocky heads and promontories: the beach of Marina di Itala between Capo Scaletta and Capo d’Alì, the long beach of Nice of Sicily, Roccalumera and S. Alessio Siculo that extend to Capo S.
