Physical-Policy Paper 1:250,000 — Review July 2021

The regional topographic map on the 1:250,000 scale was drawn up at the same time as the physical political map on the same scale, of which it is the matrix. It represents a chorography of the regional territory at the level of synthesis and is normally used to create pictures of the sheets of regional topographic maps on a larger scale. The map also provides support in the carrying-over of spatial environmental and socio-economic analyses on a synthesis scale, of the planning choices of a wide area and in the publication of thematic synthesis maps. The paper has been drawn on separate layers, taking into account the complexity of realisation and representation and has mainly adopted an international symbolism.
