Plan of Address Forestale Varese

The General Plan of Forestry Address is the tool used by the Province, pursuant to Regional Law 31/2008, to outline the development objectives of the forestry sector and the management lines of all forest, private and public properties. This plan has been drawn up with the aim of deepening knowledge and organising proposals for intervention in the province outside the boundaries of the Montane Community, Parks and Regional Reserves, i.e. for areas which, from the point of view of forestry legislation, are the responsibility of the Provincial Administration. Article 13 of the NTA states that, for the purpose of monitoring and implementing sectoral policies, the Forestry Territorial Information System (SITFOR) is established for the collection, processing and analysis of forest data. The update of the BIP, as a result of corrections and adjustments approved by the Lombardy Region, is carried out following the dispatch of the BIP to the Territory Sector — Province of Varese.
