The planning of the Protected Areas is divided into Area Plans and Nature Plans with regard to Regional Protected Areas (Chapter VIII of Regional Law No 19 of 29 June 2009), while with regard to National Protected Areas, reference is made to the Plan referred to in the Framework Law on Protected Areas Law No 394 of 6 December 1991.For protected natural areas classified as a natural park, an area plan is drawn up which has the value of a regional territorial plan and replaces the rules of different territorial or urban plans of any level, with the exception of the landscape plan, referred to in Article 135 of Legislative Decree No 42 of 22 January 2004 (Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape). The protected natural areas of any level of management are subject to the naturalistic plan that contains the geological and biological analyses as well as the indications and regulations for the conservation and management of the naturalistic aspects of the individual protected areas.The naturalistic plans are adopted by the manager of the protected areas concerned and are approved by the Regional Executive following consultation of the local authorities involved and the environmental and trade associations concerned.The naturalistic plans specify the protection and safeguard rules, with regard to the naturalistic aspects, and have the value of the management plan of the protected area, the forecasts of which are transposed by the territorial planning and urban planning tools, with the exception of the public planning and public planning plans, as well as the landscape planning, as well as the management of the protected area. Nature plans have the value of the management plan of the protected area and the rules contained therein are binding at each level.For special reserves, nature plans are replaced by management plans.
