Po Basin, exposed elements, punctual geometry

The precise geometry cartography, in relation to the type of elements considered, in relation to the scope of the Unit of Management UoM (ITN008) on which the Po Basin Authority is responsible, takes into account the macro-categories considered for the flood risk map. Following the specifications of the Floods Directive, sensitive targets such as cultural heritage, dams, RIR installations, installations identified in Annex I to Legislative Decree 59/2005, potentially dangerous installations for civil protection purposes, hospitals and schools have been mapped within floodable areas. The data comes from different sources (Provinces, competent regional directorates, etc.). The map of the exposed elements is represented according to the field “macrocategory district” and also has information on the damage classes (1-4 moderate to very high).
