Dataset description

What is the sound of the club? The “sound of the clava” is a play on words, an anagram of “Casalnuovo”, the protagonist of audio memories collected and shared with the qr code technique. Through mobile systems (smartphones/tablets) it is possible to bind multimedia content to physical places. Behind an anonymous door you can hide stories that belonged to that place. The visitor with his smartphone can easily access the content and enjoy it on the site itself. Just download any free app for reading QR-CODEs and stroll along Via Casalnuovo looking carefully and finding the codes. Sharing these small stories of local and popular culture is a cultural action but also a way to live an immersive experience beyond the limits of time and space. The sound of the club is a leap in time, and collection of memories, narration of places, urban play, territorial marketing but and also a simple and effective way to bring out “the pride of belonging to a land rich in history”. Moreover, the collection of stories is to be considered as the necessary basis to develop alternative fruition systems, from the creation of thematic paths to the organisation of complex urban games. The route of the codes starts from the descent of Piazzetta Pascoli and arrives at the wide in front of the church of San Rocco. The project was realised by Studio Antani with the collaboration of Geppetto — Artigianato artistic and the support of Duerre di Fatone. I've always been fascinated by the immaterial and the idea of telling places through small big stories. With the sound of the club I wanted to share first of all a personal experience, the one that I have lived every day for more than a year, since I moved into this street... often the curiosity leads me to chat with the people I meet and to discover small surprising stories, from the shoemaker meeting place and jokes to the tobacconists “wolf” and the poor old woman who fed the mortadella to “keep them good”. The sound of the club is an easy way to tell the places, revive stories that sometimes hide behind an abandoned door and above all make visitors (locals and tourists) live an experience to take home! * Luca Acito in collaboration with the Municipality of Matera» In OpenData Matera we publish the georeference of such Qr-Code to allow the use of the project even if not physically present in Matera. Since November 2013, these points have also been mapped to OpenStreetMap.org. [_MAPPA_](http://dati.comune.matera.it/storage/f/2013-09-21T22%3A16%3A32.994Z/suonoclava.kml
