PUMS — Project — Cyclopedestrian Accessibility — Metropolitan City of Florence

The Urban Plan of Sustainable Mobility (PUMS) is the strategic document that aims to guide urban mobility policies for the next 10 years. Accessibility the ability to access places in the city where activities of interest and destinations you want to reach are located.In this dataset we find the road arches reachable within 1 500 m, 2 000 m and 2 400 m from railway stations, tram stops, high schools, university centres, production centres and health facilities.The drafting of the PUMS is based on a logic for scenarios, aimed at verifying and comparing the effects of various possible strategies for the governance of mobility: the Reference Scenario (i.e. the interventions that can be carried out independently of the PUMS because they are already planned-programmed and already provided with financial coverage), the Plan Scenario (i.e. the infrastructural and non-infrastructure interventions, additional to the Scenario of reference that meet the general and specific objectives set by the PUMS), the evolutionary scenario. The geographical data of the PUMS published refer to the three scenarios of the plan contained in the approved tables.The Florence Metropolitan Council initiated the procedure for the drafting of the metropolitan PUMS and SEA verification with Resolution No 121 of 19 December 2018 and by Resolution of the Metropolitan Council No 24 of 21 April 2021 definitively approved the Pums-Urban Sustainable Mobility Plan of the Metrocity.
