Dataset description

This dataset contains real time observations generated by the network of environmental air quality observation processes of the city of Santiago de Compostela, installed by the TRAFAIR project, funded by the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) of the European Commission (EC), through its Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program. The dataset contains one record for each air quality observation feature, i.e., each location where air quality is observed. Each such record includes metadata of the feature itself, the observed values and respective time instants, and references to the processes used to generate the observed values (provenance metadata). The metadata of the feature consists of identifiers, textual descriptions, and its geographic location. Two time instants are included in each record, the phenomenon time when the observed values apply to the feature location and the result time when the observations were generated (i.e. when the calibration model was applied to the raw voltage sensor data). For each pollutant, the record contains both its concentration measured in micrograms per cubic meter (ug/m3) and a reference to the process used to generate the value (provenance metadata). The following pollutants are observed: carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen monoxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and ozone (O3). A coverage measure provides the percentage of raw data available to apply the calibration model, with respect to the total expected for the 10 minutes period. The dataset is updated every 10 minutes.
